ABOUT CODA AND MEMBER BENEFITS
CODA is a Cincinnati non-profit,
member supported corporation created to promote, preserve, perform and play the music of our youth. Fifties and Sixties,
Rock ‘n Roll, Rhythm and Blues and Doo Wop is the greatest music ever recorded. Nearly every day you see and hear
our music in today’s commercial advertisements on TV and radio. We want to keep this music alive.
On
Saturday, January 19, 2002, the first “official” meeting with a President and Board of Directors was held and
there were 40 members in the club. To date, there are approximately 300 members.
We have monthly socials
(usually third Sunday of the month unless otherwise noted) at Jim & Jack’s On The River, 3456 River Road, Cincinnati,
OH 45204. There is always complimentary food during the socials. The CODA Band usually performs and a couple
accappella groups have also sung. Anyone is welcome to get up and sing. We even had The Emeralds show up to perform
for us. On March 30, 2008 William Dell and Wee Jams will perform at no cost to members or guests.
Each year
we try to schedule at least two concerts. In the past, we have had Phil Dirt and the Dozers, Jimmy Beaumont & The
Skyliners, Otis Williams & His Charms, Johnny Angel and the Halos, The Flamingos, Billy Joe Royal, The Reflections, The
Dubs, and The Edsels.
Our winter dance is usually scheduled in December at Donauschwaben Society Hall on
Dry Ridge Road in Colerain Township.
We have two picnics each year for the members free of charge. We
have been having these at Harvest Home Park in Cheviot.
The yearly cost to join is $40/person payable to
CODA. Fill in the membership application form and send to:
